Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age (aion) ?"
The disciples are asking Jesus Christ about the end of the age (aion). They understood that the return of Jesus would mark the end of this present Age and the beginning of the next Age. We can see that age (aion) has a beginning and an end, but it is clearly not forever. Let us give you some more examples from Scripture.
