He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
It is vital to understand and believe that when Jesus Christ died on the cross, not only did believers' 'old man' die with Him, but all unbelievers' 'old man' died with Him too. Also, when Jesus Christ was resurrected after three days and three nights, not only was believers' 'new man' resurrected with Him, but all unbelievers' 'new man' was resurrected with Him too. This is the true biblical meaning of what Jesus meant when He said that we must be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3) It is not sufficient to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour of oneself in order to be saved, without believing that He is Lord and Saviour of all.
Jesus Christ has already paid the price for everybody's salvation but all people have not yet received it. We shall ALL receive the salvation, which Jesus Christ has already earned for us, either in this life or the next, in God's time and in His order.
