And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to age-to-come (owlam) life, some to shame and age-to-come (owlam) contempt.
The Bible speaks of two resurrections. The First Resurrection is for true believers only, who have been made righteous by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. They are God's Elect, who are relatively few and chosen from both Israel and the Gentile nations, before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The age-to-come life is the resurrected immortal saved life, which God will give to all true believers, when Jesus returns at the beginning of the Millennial Age.
The age-to-come contempt refers to the age of God's judgement in the Lake of Fire which all unbelievers will have to face when they rise in their immortal yet unsaved bodies, at the Second Resurrection which will happen at the end of the Millennial Age. God is not soft on sins and He will ensure that all unbelievers will receive their proper judgement. However, all of God's judgements are corrective and flow out of His love. Ultimately, all without exception will repent and accept their Saviour through God given faith.
