50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality (athanasia). 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality (athanasia), then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
All believers who have died and those who are living at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will be changed from a corruptible body to an incorruptible body, from a mortal body to an immortal body. All unbelievers will have to wait until the Second Resurrection for this change from mortality to immortality, which will be a thousand years after the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, at the end of the Millennial Age.
Augustine championed the doctrine of eternal torture in hell. John Calvin believed that God had predestined billions of unbelievers to be tortured in hell forever. Jacobus Arminius elevated man's limited freewill above God's will, thereby reducing our
Sovereign God to being a helpless bystander in salvation, seeing most people choose 'hell'.
Augustine, John Calvin and Jacobus Arminius greatly influenced the formulation of many Christian doctrines believed by Roman Catholicism and Protestantism. God did not reveal to these individuals the mystery of the riches of Christ, which is God's Plan of Universal Salvation and Reconciliation for every Jew and every Gentile, past, present and future. This is God's glorious Plan, which He is working out in Ages, in His time and in His order. The false teaching of the doctrine of hell is a heresy of great proportion. It changes the great victory of Jesus Christ on the cross over sin and death for ALL people into a great defeat for most people.
Now that we have fully established that the Bible focuses on Ages because of God's Plan of the Ages, we are in a position to state the key events during each Age, as revealed in the Bible.
