Moon Worshippers Originally

"Allah" was the moon-deity of the Arabs before Muhammad brought his brand of religion to them. This term was adopted because of its "name recognition" among the population. You will often notice that the primary Islamic symbol is the crescent moon, placed above their places of worship in a similar way Christians use the cross. This name "Allah" (Arabs' former term for their moon deity) reflects the pattern of adopting familiar terms and symbols of former Pagans; the Celtic/Druidic sun-deity was worshipped under the proper name "GOTT", which was adopted into our English as "GOD". The Hebrew term is Elohim, but translators chose to use a more popular term with "name recognition". "English" is the language of the Angles, and the word England is derived from "Angle Land".
